| On October 29, 2005, the Holt Collier SCV Camp #2018 with the General William Barksdale SCV Camp #1220 Color Guard, participated in the Dedication Service honoring William A Whitaker of the 2nd Mississippi State Cavalry, Company L. His descendant, Mrs. Mary Davis (a member of the UDC), read his biography during this ceremony. |
